    Dear Carl

Founded your trade - PS Audio Xtreme Statement Bi-Wire
I understand that it has been a long time. Do you have this lot now?
I need the center PS Audio biwire cable 1 or 2 meters, or I can buy both.

I apologize for my English, Dmitriy
  2. what color are these CRS speakers? btw, what part of the 'burgh are you from? I grew up in Sharpsburgh/O'Hara Twp and lived in Bloomfield and Penn Hills before moving away 12 years ago (job relocation).. thanks!
  3. Ed,

My friend! How are you! I see that you are coming to Polkfest! I am psyched about all the people that will be there. Many members like you I have gone out of my way to hunt down and get to know. Polkfest this year will have many of my friends there from NY, Chicago, Ohio, NJ and PA.

The AL-III's sound terrific. They do not present the enormous soundstage that the Amazing Plats will deliver. However, Ricardo said it all (I bought these speakers from him) they are accurate, open, easier to drive, a smaller footprint and have that same lus ribbon sound. The ribbons go down to 150 Hz. My room is not optimum. I have a workshop shich is essentailly a big two car garage with a workshop area (work bench tool storage, refrigerator, storage cabinet, stereo racks, all my vintage Marantz pieces. Because of the acoustics, the bass seems to "boom" a little bit. I attribute to the fact that these speakers need to be a minimum of three feet from the rear wall and six feet from the side walls. Now, that is optimum. I have mine 18" from a concret rear wall and 12" from the left side wall, 24" from the right side wall. All the walls are concrete, as is the floor. I believe with a little better setup geometry, and some carpeted floors, some drapes in the room, etc. The bass in these speakers will settle down and become much tighter. The original build of these speakers did not have good bass woofer. That's why many Carver enthusiasts put in better woofers and wiring. The result is great. I would like to try an active crossover with a biamp configuration. My guess is thes speakers would be "jaw dropping" accurate, open with deep, tight bass. I pair of your SAE amps with that Polk active crossover you have may be the ticket to ultimate performance.

Plus thes speakers are real wood vaneer and absolutely stunning to look at. I think Rich's wife want to hang plants off the sides LOL! The speaks are 60" high!

Send a PM to Ricardo, ND13 (Noel) or Rich (Scompracer) for their opinion. These guys are straight talkers. Good old Norm wa the guy who started the hysteria with the speaks, I miss Norm (RIP).

You will always have first choice, if you can't hide them LOL! I understand.

BTW, how are you and your wife getting along. Have you guys really decide to split? My heart goes out to you. I know how difficult it is when you have young children. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. God bless my friend!

The lemon chicken at Robertos is to die for. But so is the veal with red sauce. Ahhh! Heaven LOL!

    Hey carl how are you?
I'm very interested in your carver speakers.
How do they compare to the amazings? Are they similar in sound?
There's a good possibility i may take them if i can find somewhere to hide them for a while.

Ps, let me know what you want me to bring you from roberto's.

Hey, wanted to try this new message system out... Just wondering when would be a good time to bring back your speaks. If a weekend works better for you thats fine with me. As long as that damn parkway isn't closed for that weekend or something.

    See ya
