I didn't make it down...probably won't be able to pick them up till early June at this point. Which sucks, of course. But Russ is a good guy. He's got my back and my speakers on this one. There is a possibility that I might pick up when he comes up for that gathering in Pa.?

I might pick them up this weekend if I get to Pa. I have a deal with one of our members who is holding them for me to meet me half way so we can load them into my car. I have already purchased them a couple of weeks ago. Been waiting for the end of the semester for the pick up.

Will check back in with the gang when I set them up.

Sounds good...I look forward to it. I'm picking up a couple of SDA-2As, or Bs? in a couple of weeks. I'm interested in hearing this SDA effect people have been raving about. Will need to use the Adcom on them.

I've always liked Pioneer receivers...I have a 5 year old model in my basement system--it's not an Elite but it sounds OK.

What's happening. I don't know if you noticed but I'm going to pick up a set of Polk SDA-2As in a few weeks. Lightman1 is holding them for me till I get further south than Maine...spending so much time on this site at night tends to pique your curiosity about SDAs...all the long-timers here have a set or two or more?

How's your search for an amp going?

I've had the amp running for about a week at this point and I'm loving it...highly recommend it if you can find one in good shape. A good price for the amp itself is around 300 or so. Not sure what the pre should run...I assume 680 for both is not bad but I try to get to 600..on the other hand I'm talking U.S. dollars. If that's Canadian that's a really good price?

You might want to look at heiney9s posts on Adcom pre-amps..he talks about which Adcoms are better and which just so so. With Adcom you can't go wrong with the amp but their pre-amps are a bit uneven.
