box for 3 MM840
Hi
Planing on building an SQ system in my BMW 330Ci and thought of 3 MM840's.
I want all three woofers to play in one box.
Polk states 0.3 c.ft per woofer, but to my knowledge the total volume will be smaller if all three plays in the same enclosure.
Anyone know how big the box should be?
I'm thinking that 0.7 c.ft will be good..for some odd reason.:)
Cheers.

Why do you want to put all the subs in a common box compared to individual boxes?

sorry nothing to contribute regarding the box sizes but came across this pic of 8s in a BMW as well and thought i'd post it to give you install ideas:

If you for each subwoofer then you will need .9 for all three in a common enclosure. As long as you are running one mono amp on all woofers then one enclosure will work as well as three seperate enclosures. Personally in a BMW I would go larger unless the subs will fire directly into the cabin with no restrictions.
