Since music is one of the main things that brought us all to this site, I decided it would be appropriate to dedicate a thread towards sharing the stuff that we've recently added to our music collection.

Not exactly recently added (it's been over a year now) but a newer band I think worth listening to are Fleet Foxes. They actually employ melody in their songs and are very well written and performed, something not usually found in newer artists. I highly recommend a listen to them:

Headrott - Never heard of Fleet Foxes. Checking it out right now... sounds great! Will have to put them on the 'list' when my next music buying splurge comes around..

The band is Deerhunter, and the album is Microcastle, a 2-disk CD I purchased a couple of months ago. Sonically, I have not heard anything this good in a long while. I can only imagine what it sounds like on SDAs.
Saw them open for NIN in ATL a couple years ago. Definitely different. I have never heard any of their recorded material. Maybe I'll give it a listen.Quote:
