Transient Noise Elim (TNE)

I am transferring my mother's 45 yr old LPs to CDs....many pops and clicks...maybe I made a few of them...

I never got a TNE back in the day, but any thoughts on whether a used one would be worth the investment. I think Burwen made (don't know if they are even in business now)....not sure about other models.

Neil, I want to say SAE made a unit that helped reduce the pops and clicks. There may be various computer software available nowadays that will work for you.

Email or PM Wardsweb about anything SAE related.

I decided to download a bunch of mp3's of similar music....the old LPs were really scratched up....I did use Audacity to take out some of the spikes but there were too many clicks and pops.....the old gal doesn't understand that most of those nostalgic LPs can be found on CD now...

Clean 'em as best you can, then run ClickRepair on the AIFF file.

Yes, it works very well. Just don't get greedy and try to delete every last click. It has been a long time since I have used it but mid range selection is about right.
