SurroundBAR 3000 - 2 questions
1. When I turn my tv and surround bar on the volume is always very high. I can turn it down then power off and bac on the volume will be very high again. How can I make the volume remain constant when turned off?
2. The sound and picture constantly are getting out of sync. It is like watching an old Japanese movie with voice over. It will get out of sync for a few minutes and then slowly sync back up. It is doing it frequently enough I am considering returning my bar to hhGregg for a refund. How can I keep the sound and picture sync'd?
TV: LG plasma with speakers turned off
Source: Dish 622 HD DVR
wired with the provided optical cable.
Thanks in advance for any help.
So much for "Customer Service"
I called CS. On both issues I was told that's life deal with it.
The sound bar is "programmed to power on at a specific volume" and connot be changed. This would be ok if that specific volume didn't rattle the windows in my house.
I was also told that the TV creates a delay in the audio. I am confused.......the audio and video reach the tv from my dvr at the same time but it is delayed when getting to the sound bar. The solution is to connect the sound bar directly to the DVR. My confusion comes from when I watch something over the air. The video and and audio will still reach the TV at the same time....so will there be a delay getting to the sound bar? If so where do I plug the bar to fix this?????
This was my first shot at anything Polk and it will be my last. Actually I plan to pack this wonderful piece of technology up and return it to the store. For those of you looking for a good speaker system go with KLIPSCH or BOSE. You will pay more but at least if you have problem they will be able to fix them.
