Pretty daggum cool, if I do say so myself.
very cool.
Thats cool so now I can drive to China town and read the friggin street signs
That is certainly a "WOW" app.
I wonder how it does on small print like a menu? All of the samples in the video were large print sign boards so I couldn't get a feel for what would happen with an 8-1/2 by 11 page.
I also wonder if it can translate well when aimed at a TV screen or computer monitor.
I did find some literature online that states it can be used for menus which are usually small and sometimes low-contrast, so it already seems to be a robust solution. As languages are added, I'm sure its usage will become as commonplace as texting . . . . sell your Rosetta Stone stock now!
That's pretty impressive since it's not only doing a fairly reasonable, or readable translation, but also interpreting what the parameters of a visual TEXT are and the target language.
Next step: a Trekky Universal Translator on your maroon velour Star-fleet Academy issue!

Wow. That is seriously cool. Hope the android gets something like this!
That's an unbelievable app for sure.
This technological avancement speed is going to have peoples minds not having to do very much to get answers for almost any situation and question or desire.
I don't mind tech advancement at all and my daughter was showing me stuff on her Android tonight that is just fricken amazing to me!!! I wish I had one 30 years ago!
To be 12 years old now would be fantastic. All the years ahead of you to learn this stuff. Then use what you pick and don't use what you don't care about.
The droid and ear buds is all they need...Almost. Thank GOD for hormones..LOL:wink:
A friend showed me his 1 Trigabite external hard drive and the storage he has on it. Another amazing tech. feat!!
I'll research the proper term now.:frown:
terabyte....sorry. Showing my computer knowlege again and since I'm not too interested in keeping up with the speed of this comp. tech, I'll need a little spelling help once in a while.
He said there's 2 terabyte machines that are affordable now.. that's amazing compared to my 60 GB computer I'm on now, isn't it.
That is cool.
It's all good. I plan on looking into getting one of those outboard hard drives soon. With spell check too..
