Is the green LED illuminated on the sub amp? If this is lit then the bar is communicating with the subwoofer. If the LED is not green, then you have to sync the subwoofer to the bar. Hold down the sync button on the back of the bar for 3 seconds. These instructions are also listed on page 7 in the manual.
The subwoofer preset volume level is set very low in level from the factory so this will need to be increased using the supplied Polk Audio remote.
