My daughter Peyton just shot her 1st gobbler! Couldn't of asked for a better thrill than to see her face and to hear
her reaction to the bird strutting and gobbling in front of her at 30 yards.

Wow that is a big one! Good job!!!
Awesome! Dinner tonight??
That is so awesome! I'm totally jealous! I grew up hunting in TX; white tail, wht wing dove, turkey (rattle snake for camp chili), now living on the west coast, I don't have that anymore but.......my youngest daughter's turning 4 next month, I retire in 3, back to TX we go. So I'm looking forward to times like these you're sharing.
Thanks and congrats.
MMmmm...turkey!
Let us know how you cooked it up!
And Congrats to your daughter!
Congrats on the prize. I miss hunting also, none of that out here in Japan. What kind of gun is she using?
That is cool. Congratulations! You going to eat it or stuff it for show?
I got them in my back yard (suburbs) and they dig the crap out of my lawn looking for grubs. You're both welcome to come over and do your business.
Nice! My son and I have recently started hunting/shooting together almost every weekend and it's a great way to bond.
Good Job!
That matches the biggest I have EVER "harvested" (gotta be pc nowadays:confused:).
I am suprised her neck can hold that smile up!
Hunting has been my #1 passion through my entire life, so I cannot tell you happy I am to see you teaching her the "ways of the woods"!
Excellent job!
Cut in strips, breaded, and fried, a domestic turkey cannot compare at the dinner table.
I have smoked them with excellent results also.
MUCH better than what you can buy.
Its basically an "Organic Turkey".
Tell her congrats for me, and she is welcome in my camp anytime.
She used a NEF 20ga and a 2-3/4 " no 5 shot, I put a limb saver on it to reduce the hurt. I didn't think she would have a problem with it being that she shoots my AR15, Siaga 410 and my CVA 50 cal muzzel loader with no problem.
I bought the NEF 20ga for $ 50.00 off a guy who didn't use it too much any more.
Nice, that's a big tom.
You can tell she liked it by the grin on that face. Good going girl.
Someone asked about cooking it. I cut the breasts up in strips and fry them much like a chicken strip. I also boil the legs down and make Turkey Noodle soup. It is the only way I know you can eat those legs as they are sinewy and tough and bony.
Congrat's.
