Nothing like a changeup
Went to the DFW mini-meet. Last one was all Sennheiser stuff other than my 2nd system.
This time, lots of Stats. I did a bit of horse trading and when it was done I got rid of
two Stax amps and one of my sets of Stax headphones. I went home with some cash
(that the Mrs. confiscated) and a Grado RS1, as well as a
portable Ibasso d12 DAC/AMP. So I now have a a Stax setup,
A Senn hd-650, and a couple of Grados. The big surprize: the Ibasso.
It sounds pretty good with a set of Grado's. This one may have to stay in my office.
I also got a chance to listen to a Senn HE-60 and a Stax sr-009.
There was also a HD-800 Senn there as well.
A great way to spend an afternoon.

I appreciate you posting the link about. I tried to get enough stuff done so I could make it, but I guess it wasn't in the cards.
Sounds like you had a great time.

We really didn't shut down until almost 7 pm.
Not a ton of people, but most knew each other and with great gear
it was fun. Nick was a good host and did a good job with everything.
The he-60 and SR-009 pretty much shows you that headphones can
match any speaker for outstanding sound.
