New Sub

I was on Newegg's site last Saturday and saw they were selling DSW Micropro 3000 for $849. I had been watching them, and wanted to buy 1 for some weeks but not for $1449. I ordered one, and I got it yesterday (shipped in 1 day cuz Neweggs whse is here in NJ).

I have a MP DSW 1000, and liked it for music, but for HT I thought it was a little bit of a lightweight but ok.

I unboxed it, and just sat and stared at it for a few minutes while it warmed up to room temp, plugged it in, and set it up with the room optimizer thingy...

I watched Dredd on directv... in 1080p 5.1.

Holy spit what a difference. I have it on an Auralex Subdude cuz subs like to walk acrross the hardwood, but I was blown away by how low the 3000 goes, yet how tight the response was.

I wouldn't pay $1500 for it, but for $850 I am already very happy with it.

What are the fine folks at Polk coming up with to replace the DSW MP's? And it looks slick!!!

looks like you have a nice set up. I havnt heard to many reviews on the dsw micropro 3000. Glad your enjoying it.

the subdude is a good addition to help the resonances on the floor...............good move!

I got a new MP 3000 and I'm curious what people think of it. Who owns/has owned one? I got it for $750 and I have been reading that prices are all over the map. Really wondering if I got a good deal. It's brand new.

$750's a great deal. I have seen them sell used for $1100
