Getting there...
Douglas Connection SDA cable!! :)
ALL DONE! :)
I am pretty proud of these bad boys!
To give you an example of how awesome this all was, it had to go inside of THREE boxes ;)
Fantastic work VR3!!!
Thank you sir!! :)
Very nice work Trey. Clean and neat - love the p to p wiring. Looks like a cost no object Xover rebuild - $400 in resistors alone!
Thanks man!!
The resistors were not to bad, only $2.50 a piece
He is getting them installed! :)
That is some damn nice work! some of the nicest I have seen, These do use a 130uf cap on the low end right?
Thank you sir! :)
It is actually closer to 190uf I believe, they are beside the big inductor!
Well a 130, 65 and two 34's right? A 130uf must be the size of a coke can!
I just used two 100uf since the 130 and 65 are in Parallel since they are the same values
I just looked at the schematic I wonder why Polk used a 65 and 130 wired in parallel? cost effectiveness probably?
On the stock one, the 130 is poly cap I believe with 20% tolerance... definitely strange
Clean and neat truly professional looking!
Very very nice work. looks awesome.
One thing i couldn't see in my mind. How thick was the plexi and the threaded rod? The reason i ask is i am trying to see in my mind how solid this is and/ or how prone to vibration it may be from the sound.
Again; looks great, congrats to the owner.
Thanks man!
The "plexiglass" is not exactly "plexiglass" it is a material designed for circuit boards and that is very very dense. It is basically the thickness of a super nice circuit board. After all of the components were loaded there are nothing more than a thud! :)
The itself definitely does not rattle... :)
Thanks!
