Well, I can definitely tell the difference in bass performance going from a 30w to 150w tube amp :)

Thats a fine lookin VTL, were you coming from a 30watt cary? I thought you had some kind of exotic looking tube integrated?
I had the unison s6 int tube amp
Sweeeet...nice lookin' set-up. Off topic, how do you like your EE Mini Max?
I had Benchmark DAC (bright), Eastern Electric Minimax, PS Audio DL III (for XLR connection reason), and then came back to Eastern Electric Minimax DAC again :)
Holy CARP! That thing is a beast Brian, such an exquisite amp. Hats off in honor to VTL founder David Manley who passed last Dec. Someday I'd like to own such a great amp as the VTL line.
Beauty of an amp!!!! I'm sure you will be extremely pleased with it...Congrats & enjoy. Nice football on the mantle...I hope it doesn't cause you nightmares! LOL!
Thanks. We will be back next year!
What model is the VTL? I forgot to ask in my first post
Very nice! Great looking set up too. Congrats.
Awesome. Nice set-up. Bet it sounds as good as it looks!
Man, that sucker looks badass, congrats man. Can't go wrong with VTL in my book.
Very nice Rig!!!
Nice Brian, when you get some listening time in can you us a review?
Thanks, everyone.
txcoastal1, I'll try but I'm not good at writing review :)
I was not aware that Mr. Manley passed , that is truly our loss.
Txcoastal1, the cary + vtl has a lot more headroom and able to play the md 2 loud without losing dynamics. The bass is also quicker and deeper. The high is not as sweet as the unison s6. I'm looking better preamp tubes for the cary.
