I would love to get my ears on all the gear you've heard mrh, if for nothing more than just to hear them. I'm fantastically content with my speakers, but there's nothing like trying out new speakers, "new or old".

Yup, the more stuff one's heard, the easier it is to form an opinion of the performance of a "new" piece when confronted with one. That opinion is subjective, of course, but at least it's hard-earned and well-informed :-)
Fortunately, there are also enough high-end systems in this neck of the woods that I've also had the chance to hear the kind of things I could never afford :-)

(Both sets of speakers above use, predominantly, "field coil" (electromagnet) drivers rather than the usual permanent-magnet drivers. We ain't talkin' Best Buy products, here :-)
