Right now I use a neat power strip, but looking for something better.

I don't need anything fancy, I am mainly looking for protection during storms, etc. I try to unplug all my gear during the big ones, but I don't always get to it.

That would work well. I personally prefer voltage regulation with my filtering, but that seems like a good deal for $50.

It's more expensive, but has more going for it.
Ordered the m8x2 today. Don't want to spend a lot right now and basically want something better than a walmart power strip.
