Yeah, definitely false!
I think one thing that is really cool about this Laufman dude is how he is open to talking about other companies gear on his own forumsite! He is even open to criticism on his own gear
It sure as hell wasn't the speaker, so what's left? The amp!
First off It's still not proven that the Amp was the cause as Emo tested it and apparently it's fine..
Generally speaking, you do get what you pay for in this hobby and in life.
Second "ou get what you pay" You really believe that?are you really going to tell me that certain speaker cable is not OUTRAGEOUSLY over priced, marked up by 100's of percent.
Oh JHC, for the last time it is not a bad resistor. The stock resistor is rated at 5 watts and under normal conditons with quality gear it works perfectly. However, there are folks that don't understand how gear works and the limits of their gear, mostly AVR's trying to drive 4 ohm loads. That can result in damage to that resistor. It can be replaced with a 12 watt resistor, which will handle higher temperatures, but can also result in damage to the tweeter instead of just the resistor.
Do you own Polk speakers, knowing that they have a bad resistor in them, yet still sell to customers.
You and others need to stop blaming the resistor, it is not the problem.
