RT3000 (new to me)
Hello fellow vintage Polk mmbers.
Just wanted to share my RT's with you guys/gals on my new find! I've been looking on and off for the better part of 13yrs. for these towers. During that time I've enjoyed my RT2000's, but I was never prepared for how the RT3000's sound!! All I have to say is WOW! What a difference does isolated subs and highs sound!
Totally different from my beloved 2000's.
Although there are newer speakers on the market in 2013, I will always go back to the RT line! I sure hope there are other passionate members such as myself.. if you guys want to drop me a line just to share how you feel about these "old" speakers, please do so! I'd love to hear what current and previous owners have to say. I've read all about the faulty plate amps, but that doesn't bother me one bit! Hear are some pics for you guys!

Sorry for the sideway pictures... I was unable to correct them.

Those look beautiful. Congrats on the score, I can only imagine as I own a beautiful set of RT2000i's in the maple finish and they are doing their thing perfectly in my living room as the mains. After seeing yours, I am jealous!! Well, maybe not jealous, but I would sure trade up if I had the chance to! As good as the RT2000i's sound, I'd love th hear yours in action! Thanks for the pics. my neck needed some bending!!

Awesome speakers! I only let mine go to afford a pair of SRT's. You really can't describe how much better the RT3000's are than the 2000's until you hear them for yourself. The added mid-range drivers make such a difference. If you haven't already, be sure to run line-level outputs to the subs rather than driving the subs from your speaker outs. The difference in bass clarity is astounding and worth the cost of the extra IC's.

The RT 3000p is one of the top speaker sets on my list, I would pick up any pair that was available here. The only thing higher on my list is of course SDA SRS. Congrats on a very nice pair.
