These are really close for me, but seem a bit to high. What would be a decent price?

Those look like 1st edition SRS 2. An excellent model. 400 to 650 depending on condition. Call up Polk and see if they still make them. Not.
Those are severely overpriced. I'd say around $550-$600. Them being local adds another $100 IMO.
Yea about $400-500.
But hardly anything in Houston Texas to find.
Mainly just cows and beat pick-up trucks.
What's the deal, the cows running into the trucks or are the trucks being used in the old round up?
On the SDA's price...not necessarily. When you sell stuff you most often build in a little wiggle room. The price was low enough to get your initial interest. You are now doing your research but you are in the drivers seat. Condition is the determining factor and then shipping with these big boys. I have 3 sets of SDA's and the most expensive ones (1,400) sounded the best and I had to drive 8 hours round trip. Be sure to give a good listen and something in the 600 range for excellent units would be your best bet. Good luck and report back.
Maybe if they were modded to the nines?? Just saying.
Very much overpriced
I agree with leroyjr1. Offer 500 to 550 and see what happens. If they are local thats a bonus.
SRS 2's... I would love to find a pair. But since i rarely see these, and never withing half a days drive from me I am collecting parts to build a pair. basically the same a s a 1B or 1C depending on the version these are (early or later), but in a different cabinet with different PR. So i would assume price would fall some where in the same area that the 1C's would be in; $400-$600 depending on condition. I would be all over the seller if these were in my area. Keep in kind too if you don't have to drive far to pick them up, it is a huge savings not only in fuel but also your time. Good luck.
I had a pair listed for 500 on CL in Denver area and not one single interest. Maybe I should have asked for $1000 lol.
Even at a $1000. that is HALF of what the SRS 2's sold for new. $700. is not that bad a price for an excellent condition, well taken care of pair. "If" the seller was the original owner and you KNOW he was powering them with good electronics, then I'd say they would be worth the asking price. With gas at $4. a gallon, it doesn't take much of a roadtrip to add to the cost of anything. I'd go pay the man a visit with at least $600. cash in my pocket.
Kelly:
They are worth whatever price you are OK paying. While we can all give you what we think is a fair price you also have to factor in this: If these speakers really are the ones you want A) How often are they availible nearby and B) How bad do you want them.
I personally wouldnt pay 1000 for them myself but I also know (living in Indiana myself) that SDA's dont come around local all too often. So if you really want them, pay the extra money on the front end before the disappear and your left waiting till the next local pair shows up you can demo.
Well, that's cheaper than the ones that I've seen in Las Vegas. They are now being sold for $1399, but initially, they were priced at $2499 for the pair.

Nice!!
Or the wife is making him sell them so he sets the price really high knowing they will never sell at that price.
That's too high IMO
The way I am seeing prices, in two or three years that will just be considered the upper end, where location and condition will come into the assessment.
