just got home...
From the states, good couple of weeks! spent time with my little bro, went to disneyland with the family, and kinda got the daytime hours monopolized. I set up my 3490 as a 2.1 HT for my dad, a 505, and a set of def-tech monitor 800's, with a pair of monitor 30's as speaker set b, and he's going to mount those further back to get the couch into the soundstage, he doesnt want a fancy set up, just to not use the tv speakers if he can avoid it, he may also use the old kenwood amp i bought to drive the monitors so the 34 isnt overworked. I had a decent time for my birthday, and celebrated my friend's very well. brought my dad's 5 disc sony dvd player back for a cd changer, like the digital output, and the cables i order off of A4L are pretty nice, sub sounded a lot better with them than with the monoprice i left to my dad, wish i didnt put the toslink into use over there, i want it here, haha. Well, thats enough of my random 3:23 AM thoughts, pics may come soon, if i ever get around to it, seabee ball tomorrow, should be good. Ta-ta for now.

Welcome back to the states! Glad your dad is going to get some use out of the HK while you are gone.

I just left the states, haha, thanks for the well wishes, and the HK is awesome, it shook the wjole house with the 505 and the monitor 30's playing, i used deoxit and deoxit gold for all the connections, as well as good cables, for a quick set-up, and the speakers in terrible locations, but i love it, cant wait till its mine for good :) Thanks for the awesome deal Trav, other thanks to Glowdr and glenndog for the cd's and speaker wire, and mr biron and others for the blurays, sorry if i forgot anyone, but i dont have anymore PM's from.
