Wow. That makes me sad.
Got several of the Ten Years After albums.
I'm going to have to give them a spin this weekend and raise a glass in remembrance.
Man, I just saw this on the internet. Died unexpectedly after "routine" surgery in Spain. I saw him play live a few years back, having been a Ten Years After fan since junior high. He was a class act. R.I.P.
Well, now he is "Going Home'. RIP.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Lee, you will be missed.

RIP Mr. L. Big fan in my High School days.
Very sad news. What a talented guitarist. I will play many Alvin Lee and TYA selections this evening in his honor.
OMG ! This is truly a shocker, have been a fan for a long time. RIP Alvin, it was too soon.
What a shock! His performance at Woodstock was a classic.
R.I.P. Mr Lee. I just put on Alvin Lee Pure-Blues in his honor, might listen to Alvin Lee and Ten Years After-Rocket Fuel after that.
RIP Alvin,,thankful that I got to see you play and thankful for Cricklewood Green.
Thanks for the great music, RIP.
One of the best guitarists in history. Stonedhenge, Shhhhh...., Cricklewood Green, and A Space In Time are all on the "must buy" albums list, IMO. Thanks Alvin for the great music.
Edit: Oh, and Jesse the Audio Fidelity Gold CD of A Space In Time does sound fantastic! Thanks for the recommendation.
WHAT!!! Bum F'n er. What a loss.
Well fug me and the horse I rode in on.
Wow! Gone too young! RIP Mr. Lee!
Very sad.
I literally just finished listening to a remastered (Live at the Fillmore East in 1970) version of 50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain before I stumble upon this thread and learned of this terrible news. RIP
A very sad and terrible loss. RIP.
