I got me one of those too...Quote:

<img src="http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/2961/fireworkssmallga3.jpg" border=0 name="Celebration of Light" align="right" hspace="15" vspace="15">Celebration of light down in Vancouver. It was Italy's turn tonight and the next will be Saturday. Shot this tonight but haven't really had time to go through them all or edit them. When I wasn't changing settings on my camera quickly I had the shutter open pretty much the whole time.
If anyone has ever been to it they can vouch for how crazy it is. I think they have an estimated annual attendance of 1.4 million people. Amazingly we showed up ten minutes before it started and managed to scoop a nice spot at the very front of the beach. When we got there I was dissapointed because I thought for sure there would be no way I could set up my tripod, but sure enough we found a spot.
I also quickly found out fireworks aren't the easiest thing to photograph... it took me a while to find some settings that would work to balance how long I wanted to shoot for with proper exposure. I can't really predict when there will be many in the sky so with that extra light it was far too easy to loose detail in bad highlights. Maybe I'll do better on Saturday. fwiw this shot was 10 seconds, f13 at 26mm on full manual.
Oh and it looks like you're fishing at a golf course... you know they probably frown upon that, right? :D
Hey Michael, how'd you right jusify that image like htat?
That's the code I used to insert the image. I also put it at the very beginning of the text. So basically just align="right" and put it at the beginning... html only works on certain parts of the forum, but I'd rather use it than vb code when I can. If you really want just hit 'quote' on my post and it'll show you what I did exactly.HTML Code:<img src="http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/2961/fireworkssmallga3.jpg" border=0 name="Celebration of Light" align="right" hspace="15" vspace="15">
Edit: for some reason when I posted the html code it added a whole bunch of \'s.. pretty much every \ you see in that code shouldn't be there.
I've had atleast 5 people tell me that looks likea golf course now.Quote:

Yeah I was suprised it took html as well. There are a couple parts of the forum that won't accept it (such as the testing area) but it can be handy in other parts where it does work. I find it much easier to type in html than using vb code tags... I'm just amazed nobody has screwed with things and done stuff like absolute positioning with div. I tried it in a really really old thread by editing one of my posts and managed to cover the polk audio banner with my own image ;) (I quickly put it back to normal of course)
