R.T.A.11"s (I found the paperwork!!)
I FOUND THE PAPERWORK. It say's the R.T.A.11 share's the same low frequency "section" cabinet as the (r.t.a.12b) It also use's the same 6 1/2" drivers, and the same12" planar fluid-coupled subwoofer and 1" moving coil high frequency radiators as the 12b!! The cabinet is 33 1/2"h x 16"w x 11 1/2"d The performance of the 11 is remarkably similar to that of the 12b. "it say's" Now all I have to do is find a set of SW 120 PR'S or a suitable replacement!! According to Polk's site their there! Thank's to each and every one of you who tried to help me!! :D ;)
And I thought I was the only one....
...that kept speakers (and their boxes) for 25 years !! I too have a pair of the rare RTA Monitor 11's (in real walnut veneer!!) paired with my RTA Monitor 12B's (also in real walnut) which I upgraded to 12C's by swapping in the silver dome tweeter. Not currently using them as my HT I built didn't suit them (for their size) so picked up some LSI models.
Been a polk person since 1981 (in the home AND in the car). Have a pair of monitor 4.5's hanging around and have started putting Polk in-wall speakers around the rest of the house.
Living in Baltimore it's nice to support (what used to be??) a local company! Depsite the availability of Polk's at nationwide chains Soundscape is still my dealer of choice for these fine speakers!
