There Maple by the way...
And they ship out to there new owner Daboyz tomorrow. Hope he likes them....
Here is an LSi7 that will match your LSiC and LSiFx....
Here is a before and after pic. Looks much better when mounting on the wall.....
I have 2 channel setup in a different room which is not in these pictures.
Yes, I run all of them for HT. Occasionally, I use 2 LSi25s and 2 PSW1000 for Rock Music or Acoustics. If I need more punch in the low end, there are subs to handle in this room where my 2 channel can't possibly match it. For multi-channel music DVD, this is the room I use.
For critical 2 channels classical listening, I have another room with good gears to enjoy.
Why do you have surround speakers up front then?
Is everything connected to something? How do you switch between different speakers and amps? It doesn't appear that you have much room to do anything there.
Do you have 8 subs running at once?
POST #2. Wow, I have never seen so much gear in one room. I'll bet it sounds like the sales floor of a Best Buy, HH Gregg or Circuit City (or maybe all three at once). :D:D
hca 1200 & hk 3485 as pre
I have Sanus SF stands for my LSi9's. They have rubber bumpers to prevent scratches. Yet I am paranoid about the underside of the LSi 9's that I put a couple layers of speaker cloth underneath. Now the speakers/stands look like they have a cape. Perhaps fossy is doing the same thing.
LSI Cape Crusader :D
well i never ................:D:D:D:D
no likey my cinder block custom covered lsi caped crusaders ????:D:D:D:D
my stereo rack is an old kitchen cart !!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to be lazy but please click on the link in my signature to see the pics of my LSis. Thanks for understanding my laziness :-) Actually I just came back from a meeting and will be going to another one so I dont have much time. Havent posted for sometime on here so I thought I post a quick one.
Happy new year to all!
Good luck with your audio journey.
I have never seen a setup like that before.....not sure how you can run everything coherently. Are you sure you didn't rob a Polk Store.:)
"Here is almost all the LSi except the LSi7 because I no longer used them."
Do you mind my asking, Megasat, why you stopped using the LSi7s? Apart from the 7s you seem to be pretty inclusive, speaker-wise.
My 9's and C. Sorry for low lighting.
To some readers, I didn't rob any Polk Store or anyone else store for my polk speakers....They are a gift from Matt Polk to me! It's just that I have to send a check to Matt for these gifts which SUCKS! :o
Matt, Are you reading this? Where is my last year X-mas Gift? Just Kidding!
Time for an intervention fellow polkies. He needs to sell these extra speakers, fast and on the cheap. This man needs saving - come on we can't just sit by and let him suffer elike this...
Is that Oak or Maple , looks like Maple to me. Either way they are something I tried to tell polk they should have offered , I could have moved many more pairs , the black and Cherry don't always work out in most houses.
Mantis, they are the original Cherry finish--definitely more Oak-like than the current Cherry finish. More texture, not super smooth like the current version. I'll see if I can find a link to another post that has some more pics along with some comparison shots and discussion of the different finishes.
Not sure what wood it actually is, but it sure did look/feel the same as the Ebony version (just a diff color obviously).
Leroy, I didn't do too much listening when I had it setup like this, but it still sounded really good. Even though the speakers weren't toed in or the proper distance apart, and actually too high up technically, it still sounded really good surprisingly.
IIRC, this was from pretty early on the road to my 2 channel obsession. Wasn't long after this that I got the Dodd ELP in the mix and then the SB Duet, DAC and so on....
I did something similar at my office at work where I had a set on a table across from my desk with an HCT 13w(?) tube hybrid. I was able to work with the toe-in and distance apart a little more. I thought it sounded great--of course I couldn't crank it with that amp, but I was in an office setting and had to watch the volume anyway, but anybody that heard it was impressed.
Does the Wadia also perform Preamp duties?
