CSi A6 tweeter not working
Hi guys, I took your advice and purchased the CSiA6 to compliment my RTi A9's. I got a great deal off of Ebay. There are absolutely no high frequencies coming from the tweeter. I noticed that the speaker has 5-way binding posts. The brass jumpers are intact and I have the speaker cable going to top terminals. I have no idea why the tweeter is not working. The speaker looks brand new, the woofers and tweeter itself look brand new. (When I had my CS2 hooked up everything was fine!!)
I unscrewed the speaker cable hook-up plate on the back and noticed that the top terminals are for the woofers and the bottom is for the tweeter. While my Denon AVR3806 was on, (brass jumpers removed) I switched back and forth from top to bottom terminals. I only got sound from the top which is for the woofers. No sound at all from the bottom. Fellow polkster's what do you think is wrong? Blown tweeter, lose connection to the tweeter? I tried to removed the tweeter to see if it was just a lose connection but I couldn't remove the screws with basic alan wrenches/L wrenches. Any ideas on what type of tool to use to remove the screws so I can see what is going on? Any help/ suggestions are greatly appreciated.
