Just wondered if anyone has had any experience with EAR equipment. The EAR 868 looks awesome.
I recently heard an EAR CDP teamed with a BAT pre, BAT amp, PMC speakers in a fully treated room. There was almost no imaging. :confused: Even with other amps swapped in, nothing changed. Not to say it was the CDP's fault, but who knows.
They do make some pretty looking gear though.
They cost too much for just being pretty!
And when many people say they traded their ARC gear for EAR it says something. It's cheaper in cost than what I have now and said by those who have ACTUALLY used the gear to outperform ARC.Quote:

Agreed Ted, the credentials are there for sure and all about quality. Ah what's another 5 or 6 "large" ones.
I've read a lot about EAR Mike. I saw some of their offerings at a B&M store but it wasn't hooked up. It sure is pretty though.
