Inspired... 30 years is a long time, you must be doing something right.
To answer your question, indeed there are women here. We (generally) don't get as excited about all the testing, swapping,...
My 2ch (and HT setup *screw surround*) is all equipment that I have rebuilt or repaired.
-My last receiver was an Olympus (Panasonic) discarded from a Radio shack with a seriously burned amp...
Well, us audiophiles do have a lot of work to do, but it's not in getting young people to enjoy high quality sound. Our biggest challenge is in keeping the music industry from falling behind in...
You are very welcome. Stick around the board too. It would be nice to have someone with a European perspective.
I second the opinion to go with the C400.4 using front outputs to amp the fronts, and bridge the rear outputs for the sub. Just leave the rears connected to the HU/Deck... why make more work.

I would get the MMC6500s up front (amped) and run factory speakers off the HU for the rear. Then only fade in the rear for passengers. Much less wiring, much less time and money.
But I am...
I recal having a program for a laptop that outputted a constant volume, increasing frequency tone, and recorded a level plot using the microphone. One could then compare them.
But it's on my...
I use DB12 subs... they are rather old themselves and still perform very well.
You want to make sure that the rubber surround is not deformed, and I assume it is in working condition otherwise.

Roflmao...
So sadly true....
Strand count:
When compared against the same total wire guage, more strand count only has the advantage of conducting more freely above the 1kHz mark.
The other advantage is bendability.

Just incase enyone else wants to ask about the Directed amp:
I'm not going to sell it, I have been very pleased with it.

Awesome job Mac. Congrats.
You also want to check about the [brake] caliper slides (depending on how they are built). A warped rotor can ruin them and if so, the caliper will eat up pads in the future and possibly chatter...

I agree that SPL Comps can be fun to watch.
My favorite show vehicle was a panel van that was very much driveable and had no body modifications. (none of that thich glass with bolts or...
Mac. Thanks for representing us out there, especially in the SQ area. Congrats on the 1st and second places.
WOOT. One up for the polk team!
Btw, let me know if you have any tips as i am...
I would also give a good inspection to the crossovers on the speakers or tweeters if they are there. Look for a blown capacitor (supposed to look like a tiny can, but exploded will see two wires and...
A far as soldreing on terminals to power cable.. keep in mind that anything 8AWG and larger will need a heft of an iron and you'll go digging out the propane torch for 0AWG and up... Try the grease...
I have not had the chance to try extreme.
Reading off the specs though, it is almost three times as effective, is thinner, and weighs less. remember that when comparing cost to regular... it's...
Forum: Thanks all for the welcome back...

Great looking glass job HSprite.
And the cool thing is the Polk Grilles match the Z's wheels almost perfectly.
Here's my suggestion:
>>as it is set up, listen for the noise with the setup on. See if the noise changes volume when changing the amp's gain.
Also know that an aftermarket amp will be...
I think pioneer's new faceplate design is very well styled.
I have sen another (??) that had a static faceplate, but had a 3" lcd in the faceplate, played dvd's and mp3's on dvds... That was neat.
