With it being a relatively new product though, buying direct from oppo would have service and support advantages though if ever needed I'd assume? Or is ther no difference?
I don't have the ear you guys do or a set-up that would make the $1k investment worthwhile. Wife doesnt get the 'need' for the 93 to begin with so getting her on the 95 train would just be too much...
Oppo directly? Amazon...audioholics.com? Somewhere else?
...and why?
Wanting to order a new bdp-93 soon (maybe today if there's a consensus here!). Thanks...
FYI. Last week I exchanged my 7 week old NAD T755 AVR for a new T765. The T755 was demo model, and I paid $699 for it. When discussing my exchange with Saturday Audio, they mentioned that...
precisely. thanks for the vote of confidence.
now, to calm the missus down...she just doesn't get my "why this is such a good idea" argument. women...sometimes they just wear me out.
i've been giving the -83 some serious consideration when I saw the amazon price at $499a few days ago. didn't want to spend this much originally but seems like its very hard to beat for such a...
Thanks, appreciate the help. think you hit the nail on the head wrt piece of mind. just off the phone with Saturday Audio and made the deal. they are top notch guys to deal with. packing the 755...
NAD'ers pearsal, kex, hearing impaired, et al,
looking at swapping my 60 day old 755 for a 765 to have the MDC upgradeable architecture. can get my full 755 purchase price applied to an demo...
well, I'll give it look into. thanks.
to be honest, i've never considered electronics from LG before--not too familiar with them other than their HDTVs of course. Since you're saying this...
Looking at a Denon DVD-2500BTCI demo I can get into under $300. msrp says it was a $899 player at some point for whatever thats worth. seems to be built pretty solid. any exp good or bad with one?...
very good! and a big "Ooorah" to those hard chargin' leatherneck devil dogs...
thank you for another reminder of how much i've forgotten in 25 years ;) i'd have to go back for another 4 years to remember that stuff. sorry, no help here as v=ir is about all i got now.
good...
no meds, vitamins, BP down, smaller clothes... sounds like you could be a posterboy for the procedure that gave you back a healthy lifestyle.
maybe commercials are in your future...subway...
+1...
you knew it was going there too (albeit fairly mildly)! but thats fine IMO, nothing wrong with people being passionate about their hobby. just 2 cents from someone relatively new to it all...
+1 on sub & some quality external amplification. when I put seperate amps on each 12's LFs, it made a huge and very noticable difference in headroom, sound clarity, and LF presence.
i think this means you're livin right!
have a great one!
Outstanding John!! No worries, you made a nice choice and should be quite happy. Let us know how it works out...
when you get ready to pull the string, you might watch Frys.com for the CSi5...I...
+1. but i'm biased obviously.
john,
I'd say NAD is neutral although IIRC Kex, Pearsall001 and/or hearingimpared also said it tended to be a little on the warm side. What sold me nearly 30 years ago was the focus on the...
i recently bought a PSW505 from newegg for $229/free shipping and recd it the next day too. couldn't be happier...they are good to go!
yes, they sure do. but when you get it right, you know it! here were the different set-ups I went thru until i found the holy grail--very similar to where you ended up.
1) drove each RTi12...
ok, I'll throw NAD out there... known for 'music first' approach, conservative appearance and ratings, but built w/ quality components and strong, clean reserve power. I recently bought a demo...
