Duh! I didn't think of that. Thanks guys! I missed a great sale on some M50s but it looks like they have great sales all the time.

What you will end up with is a very wide yet very thin soundstage. A flat plain if you will. Move a foot or two up or down verticaly and it will drop away fast. Now, using three IDENTICAL speakers...
I was going to get another pair of M40s and M50s in cherry from Newegg yesterday. They are all sold out. In fact, except for the M70s in black, the whole Monitor II line is sold out. Someone in...
I like the MTM arrangement better. I wonder if there is any sonic differences between the older Monitor line (Monitor 40) and the new one (45T?)?
You have a pretty typical review of the changes you made. That change in subs was probably huge! The amp will barely give you 3 dB increase in volume but, could help with peaks durring movies. Room...
The Monitor 40s play pretty flat down to 50 Hz but then really drop off. You can get 40 Hz out of them but, it is down 10-12 dB at that point. I am just going to go ahead with the PSW110 and see for...
Um. OK. Anyway, I have yet to get a sub. Still debating the PSW110. Just dropped price at Newegg. And again, I do not want earthquake bass. Just mostly to hear "all" of the music (down to the low 30...
I am going to pass on the PSW110 and search for a PSW505 as the price is sometimes very close.
I am currently in the process of totally redoing my "HT". Either Monitor 50s or Monitor 60s for L/R, A CS2 for the center and Monitor 40s for sides in a 5.0 set up. The .1 has been several cheap or...
I am looking at a new sub and see the PSW110 for a good price. I also notice its lower extension as only being in the mid to upper 30 Hz range. If you have say, Monitor 50s or Monitor 60s for mains,...
Ha! I do that all the time. And that is about the same finding I have. The big AMC theater near me is all Klipsch.
Was just watching a bit on the Library of Congress on TV. They were showcasing the A/V area. On the wall was mounted a pair of Polk Monitor 40s! Cool. huh? In cherry even!
I found this pic on Google looking at 1.2tls. It is actually from a Club Polk member! Yeah, the TV needs to go! Sorry Halo. No other pics. And Spongebob needs to go too!
This should keep you out of the bars at night!
I kind of figured as much. The cheapest I have seen the 1.2s is about $1k. Besides the sound, the coolness factor is what alures me. I will look at the smaller ones to satisfy my curiosity.
Thanks!
I have been reading many stories about SDA SRSs and would really like to get a pair. 1.2s hopefully. I am just wondering if these are too big for my room? The biggest room in my house is 12 X 16 with...
SC60i's? Put in a 3rd SC for the center if possible.
What are SC60i's? Oh. In-walls.
Yes. Woody Allen. He probably likes to crank the camera as well! LOL!
You could probably say the Monitor series (however cheaper) falls in between sound wise. With regards to "warmer", "brighter", "forward", "recessed" descriptive words.
The movie wasn't THAT bad. Fun premise but not exicuted as well as it could have been. Yeah, it was mostly dialog but you would think there would be a little surround action? You don't have to go see...
Just for the reasons you give for usage, get the Monitor 40s. I think for the price you can't beat them. They can be a little touchy for room placemen but, a lot of speakers are.
Yeah. This just caught me as odd. The sound was litterally coming from the center of the screen the whole time! My guess is bad set up.
Went to see a movie last night. Midnight in Paris. Interesting movie but, 99% of the sound was from the center. Was it the movie or was something wrong with the sound system? That was the first movie...
Well, I think I solved my problem. Kind of. It was the rooms. I put them in a smaller room and the problem went away. Hooking them up to the Denon AVR didn't change things. Other than giving them...
