Hi fi’s aren’t made to reproduce the original source to the exact. We usually want “flavours” I’m sure we are all aware of this. Some manufacturers stride to make the sound as less colourised as...

Just taken the first step into "serious" hi fi , bought a linn av5105 of ebay for £300 . oheewww big step for me .
well , my normal amp the Cambridge 540r has specs for all channels driven but the L/R power is higher if only L/R are driven. (limitation of continual psu output ?)

The guy at denon said that “mains is different” and the amp does give the specified power to all channels driven . still none the wiser
How can the power output exceed the power input????
Hello all, i have wanted to know this for a while , some of the avr’s on the market have rated power outputs (continuous or rms) that are...
Interesting. Done a little bit of reading, ill have to do some more, but I’ve come across some bt mains conditioners on eBay might have to get one and see what i think ;
...
Fair enough guys, looks like ill have to do some reading on this one :D
So what do they do ?? make the mains ac sine a pure wave ?? rather than one with noise in it ??
Talking about mains ac?
I have never used a power conditioner (apart from my belkin “pure av” filter cheap plug thingy)
But i fail to understand how they make a huge difference when the power amp...
Haven’t read much of this but;
Im thinking of either a d60 or a pentax k20 , my mate has a d40 and i like using that.
i love the sound of my xs500 , i sometimes listen to it paired with my tannoy f4 customs , sounds nice.
it spends most of its time on sub duty. Its loud as f**k so i smother it with pillows to shut...

i installed a mains fan into an old sherwood amp i use for house partys :-) , it does the trick but its mega loud.
before that i just placed a large pc fan with low rpm's on top , that was still a...
Hello all, don’t seem to be being much “forum” stuff recently but i just had a question that’s been floating in my mind for a while now.
I apologise if it has been previously addressed but;
...
the fr' m s are meant to have very poor build standards. i could have the wrong model but i spoke to someone at "dolphin music" they said lots of the new Mackie gear comes back dead. Apparently...
ah so its probably quite a lot better than i initially thought. but still its likely to be expensive but if you are an audio enthusiast with damaged hearing , well.
I’m surprised nobody has said anything about the different sound architecture on this game.
With cod4 I found it really easy to listen where people are with the surround sound. I however find that...
