I think you need more power to run your speakers. I have the Rti12 and they sound really good when i drive it with Emotiva XPA 2 and 5.

I like to say something about my Rti12. Im driving my 12 with emotiva Umc1 processor and powered by xpa2 and3 with two Hsu subwoofer vtf2mk3.They sound great for home theater and it sound just okey...
