Sorry, I didn't literally mean midbass; but just the higher sub frequencies like ~<50 or so. I don't hear the subs a lot of songs with bass unless it has an overwhelming amount of very low bass...
I have dual SR124's in a 1.53 per chamber sealed enclosure (before displacement). It's being powered by a Sundown SAX-1200D. It seems like the subs are pushing the lows fine, but it's barely audible...
Actually the Polk manual recommends .88 to 1.4 after displacement I believe. You should have a lot of headroom to have a smaller box. The manual says differently than the website.
I don't think it's likely he's fried his subs because his amp is only 1200W, and each SR124 has an RMS of 700 and should be able to withstand any clipping longer than his amp.
Alright, I actually have 2 dual sealed enclosures because I bought the wrong size first due to a misprint. The second one I got (and I've been using), is a total of 3.06 cubic ft or 1.53 per chamber...
I have the Polk MM6501 component set being powered by a sundown sax-125.2. Calculating the voltage with the amp power, I should give it 22.3v which I then set using my DMM. Of course this considers...

I'm looking for an enclosure for an SR124, I know the best route is to build one yourself, but I don't know that I have the time or ability to do it myself. I've looked around for websites that build...
Will I be able to power a SR124 with a JL Audio 500/1? From what I've read this amp is underrated and actually pushes 750W or so. Is that enough?
Also, would it be better to go with a single SR124...
