I just got back from the VA for a second biopsy, This one was for a mole on my shoulder that had started to get darker so they removed it and will get back to me in a couple weeks...

The 12 watt will give you a little insurance and can handle the power better also wont get as hot as a 5 watt would. I'm sure the 5 watt will work fine your call.
