Well with the 1C's your dealing with 4 tweeters so thats 200 bucks, for VR3 to mod both cross overs (depending on what he's doing to them) your pretty close to 500, then Larrys rings and such, so 1K...

I have SDA 1C's....I also have an Adcom 400 pre...now "stereophile" mag seems to think the Adcom 565 has the best Phono section, but they also like my 400. The problem is you have to buy this stuff...

yeah, the Adcom 565 has a really good TT setup, along with the fact it's just a good pre amp.

But...i'm not sure you can get one in good shape for 200 bucks. Used in good shape is more to 300-350...

OK..hold the phone on this...first off i said i turned up the bass on the pre for yucks..and yes of course you get some more bass..did not say i do that as normal..nore did i say it's better then a...
