Thanks for the photo Rick. Made my afternoon tea a little nicer. I'm 46 and still never get tired of looking at photos of a beautiful women.
Thanks very much. It took a bit to figure out how to get Windows Media Player to play FLAC files, but it sounds great.
Thanks again.
It must be at all stores. I picked up a (new) Wes Montgomery Album there a few weeks ago. Also picked up Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here" on 180 gram vinyl. Another local chain (Visions electronics)...
I was going to timbre match my front stage, but then a great deal came along on a CSiA6 center. I picked it up thinking I will upgrade my left and right M70's later. So far, it hasn't been a big...
I should add it was good to set up the turntable myself as it was the first time I have done so. I did learn a lot and will feel more confident making some minor adjustments from time to time.

I just set up my new MH 2.2 turntable today. The one I was using was a demo from the store. I think it a great turntable for the price ($400 bucks). Very happy with it so far.
Update...I have received the Monitor 5's from Travis and they are awesome. They arrived in really great shape (no small issue given their weight and size). Very happy with all aspects of this...
Looks like a trip to Radio Shack to pick up some Deoxit. Anything else I should pick up (like fuses? Where would I get them and what would I ask for?).
Thanks for the link to that write up. That's going to be a big help.
Also, for George. By cleaner, do you mean compressed air?
Tks!
P.S. Don't worry Travis, I am practising on these old HK...
Hi.
I picked up a Kenwood KA 6100 integrated amp locally yesterday. I got it home and it has a few issues. I thought it might be a good way to learn more about this hobby, so I plan to fix it up. ...
Thanks Travis! Looking forward to hearing them.
Jim.
I have a deal with another member on here to buy a pair of Monitor 5's. Hopefully they will be here next week. I may make a project of refurbishing them. I think it might be a good way to learn more...
Hmmm. Didn't know they existed, now I need them!!
Congrats on almost 11,000!
I googled them and they are a fairly inexpensive option to experiment with (relatively speaking). I may pick up a higher quality pair just for fun. The current ones going from the back of the pre amp...
I'll regret this later I'm sure, but what's an interconnect and why do I need one?
About 2 years ago my health wasn't the best and the Doctor was going to start me on meds for high blood pressure. My cholesterol wasn't great either. I took a long look at the road ahead and decided...
Hey, I love that wallpaper! My wife begs me to let her change it, but it is my office and I likes it! No Women allowed!!
Damnit! I looked these speakers up and they sound like just what I need. Not sure how I will sneak them in, but sold! I will PM you for shipping information. I am in Canada, so I will pay more for...
Thanks for suggesting the phono pre amp idea Tony. The Cambridge 551P is doing a fine job for now. I'll look at upgrading it down the road. I'm not sure my wife will let me upgrade the speakers as...
Now I want a PBandJ sandwhich for lunch. I have taken from calling us "mankind" to "humankind". Not for PC reasons, I just don't see why men should take all the blame!
I got the 551p. Seemed like a good place to start.
Thanks for the heads up. I went a different direction for now and picked up a cambridge pre amp. I got it locally for $110 bucks. And yes, it is making a big difference. Speaker may have to wait for...
Ok, now this post is my 100th post as well. (no sense starting another thread, I already have a 100 lol).
Cheers,
Jim.
There was a nice restaurant at the Delta Hotel in Kelowna last time I was there. A little pricey, but good.
If you have time to check out an audio store in Vancouver, try this one. Lots of high...
