It seems after reading a ton of posts over the years about powered subs developing a hum, my PSW-202 has joined the club! Out of nowhere last nite, I turned the system on to watch a movie, and there...
Just a tip, bare wire oxidizes because after you strip some insulation, you tend to touch it. Try to strip some insulation, and then use a pair of pliers if you want to twist thw strands...
I love the digital out on my Carver changer, but sometimes it randomly stops working and you have to jiggle it a bit. I am going to send it to Carver repair one of these days....it is great though to...
Well, I have a set of Rti70's, and a rear set of Rti38's, but I have not been able to upgrage to a good center channel. I had ben reading on here about the CSi40's being real cheap on clearnace at...
I have bought higher end things before but the customer service is not always there. Well, I recently bought some RTi70's from CC as open box models and they did not have feet, a manual, and one of...
You mention dropping the sub volume, but where is the cross voer set? The lower the cross over, the less boom you will get. Might want to also play with that..I knkow on my 202 I am trying all sorts...
I am finding that the Rti70's [i]can[/b] be very bright. i hooked them up and listened with the sam settings as my old speakers, and the highs were.....what's a good word...piercing..... After...
Interesting...I am asking because after heariing my brothers system in Cali this summer with Rti800's up front, I came home and now bought a set of Rti70's...:)
Sean
Wow that is cheap....my brother lives out in Cali and saw them a month ago for $199 each....I just got them from CC out here in NY for $199 each, but open box...the new were $299. I wish we had a...
You froze the spider....used to happen in a roller rink I DJ'ed in back in the day....meant i was a good nite the night before...:)
Sean
Are you of the thought that the RTi800's are better then the Rti70's? If anything, I thought the Rti70's had an updated tweeter....
Sean
The crossover seems to not be working because you used the splitter. When you use the Y splitter, the sub bypasses the internal crossover and then ou are supposed to use the one on the receiver. If...
That's an old trick when you are running car audio wires and one side of the connection requires a small wire to go into a connector, and the other a large one...but for my Polks at least, that would...
They have the Rt55i's, but that is like retail...for a discontinued speaker (that I wish I had a set of instead of my Rti38's..) that seems a lot to me...
Sean
I just bought some open box RTi70's and Rti38s and the PSW-202 came free with it (after some hassle...they claimed it was not valid for open box..). Anyway, if she is buying him some plok speakers,...
I have always felt the connection to bare wire was the tighest, but I could see a spade or banana giving it more contact area, so I fiugred I was just being lazy...:)
Sean
OK, cool...I thought I had read in an old thread that the twist on ones were not that good. I will make a trip today to see what I can find locally...
Sena
Nice little collection...unfortunately I have to many already that I have no room to display. Good luck....

I finally picked up a set of Rti70's on closeout and am working on getting them hooked up. I am using a Carver TFM15-CB to power them. I hate to say it, but I have always been an "insert the bare...
