You need to ground the Al helmets in order for them to stop the RF signals. Of course that's not much fun having a ground wire going from your helmet to earth and it may slow your movements. down.
Soldered wire ends make for the best connection because the soldered speaker wire deforms as you tighten the electric connection to the speaker and amp.
