Yes, get rid of the EQ for 2 channel listening. to me, EQ is only good for subwoofers.
just to also chime in, it is 9/64.
I have the rti10's (same as the A7's). I agree with the above statement. That's why I'm in the market for a set of LSi towers for my 2-channel listening.
You can never have too much power.
Great article. First class company.
Ditto. What tonyb said.
As some have stated here, hum is sometimes induced by other components. I'm on my 3rd Emotiva amp and am loving them.
Ditto! Great deal. I would also upgrade from the A4 to A6 eventually.
No you won't.
I've been using it for about 6 months, and the service is great. Not quite CD quality, but it sounds really good streamed from my computer to my DAC. Best $5 I've spent in a long time.
When you get those drivers replaced, get an amp (min. 200 w). Those 12's crave power.
Ditto above. You can easily and cheaply make your own.
You can use a sound meter or let the AVR do it for you.
I use Emotiva X-series cables and they are great. These are on sale until 01/15/13. Hurry.

Ditto. Use the auto setting and let the AVR dectect the signal and set the mode automatically.
For the job that surrounds do, I think that RTia-1's would be more that sufficient.
I use Monoprice 12 ga. speaker cable inwall with no problems. have been using it for years.
Rti's with a good amp. RTi's can be found used for very little
I have the same speakers and was watching the game and was experiencing the same problems. Good to know that it wasn't my system.
Yes, it would be a good idea. Personally, for the money, I recommend Emotiva. I have an XPA-2 powering my Polk RTi10's. It's a great amp.
You have a PM

Great pick. I've had one ofr a year. It plays everything that I've thrown at it and has plenty of apps.
I have a Yamaha DVD-C950 for sale, $125 + shipping. It is a carousel unit and is in 9/10 condition and plays SACDs and DVD-Audio.
