Not exactly, smart guy.
My 805 was new in the box. The customer service was helpful, curteous, and knowledable. I had an easier time getting what I wanted from CC this trip then Best Buy.
Hi :) This is a new thread relaying information taken from my older thread asking about new reciever selections. Since that thread is long, I felt the questions I have now on my new 805 would not be...
here are the details.
Q: Did you run Audyssey?
A: No.
Q: How are your crossovers set?
A: 80hz THX. LFE/Sub is turned off.
Q: What did you set your 805's speaker impedance control to?
A:...
Just got my 805 setup.
Driving Polk RTi10 and Polk CSi5.
Using Poltergeist TrueHD 5.1
And this reciever does not seem to drive my RTi10's any harder then my older 55watt Harman Kardon 330.

Yes, yes... monster cable. *flame suit on*
I have a monster cable 600HD. Purchased one year ago.
Model 600HD is not listed anywhere on the Monster Cable website.
As a matter of fact, the models...

My experience with Circuit City diverges a bit from those listed in the thread.

Hi :) Welcome to Polkie land!
For surrounds, do not use full towers. Instead use surrounds mounted up on the walls or on speaker stands. Because the towers are infact towers, the projected sound...
I remember the SL40 well enough to be sure that the3 weight and construction of the cabinet were heavy. Thick sides and a good center of gravity.
oh, why did I burn them!?!
:(:confused::o
Why would you say that?
The only speaker I've personally owned that deserved immolation w as a KLH HTIAB. I returned this product after 3 days of ownership.
In the days before I became a Polkie, I was big into Infinity.
My first pair of speakers were Infinity SL40. Beautiful finish, solid wood vineer. My reciever of the time was an older Technics....
Good Atrium is....
Polk, I love you for these speakers. The swivel-bracket mount saved the freakin day.
Thank you!
