Progress has been made!
Yeah im not expecting it to be super bass crazy but it lacks really and warmth to it right now. Ill play around with the drivers to one make sure the speakers are in phase with each other and then...
Yeah i remember that its out of phase at the crossover when i was testing the dead one i thought it was odd lol (but im no audio engineer)
Ill bet something is out of phase, i remember i put...
Given though that my LSi15's were brand new they shouldnt have even been broken in with the factory drivers/crossovers right? Should it then not be better then stock?
On a side note i was...
I think right now it might be worse than factory. I am going to try putting one of the factory drivers back in and test. Is there anything special i have to do with the Poly fill, i just kinda...
It is just very lacking in bass.
I hope they just need to be broken in, its rather sad right now :(
With the upgraded woofers i should keep the polyfill still in the cabinet right?
I thought about a UPS but I didn't want to deal with worrying about going over its rated power so I went with this instead
alright all issues have been resolved now. Since all of these upgrades my mids and highs seem great on my lsi's but the bass seems rather lacking, I am hoping it is just that the woofers need to be...
I will be writing a review myself soon. Had my LSi15s and LSiC upgraded and it was totally worth it. I wish more companies had customer service as good as Trey, certainly would make life easier haha.
Small update, UMC-200 arrived, upgraded crossovers arrived and everything is back up and running.... almost
Speaker/amp wise I am in good shape now. they are all working
Cant get my DVD-Audio...
/shrug they told me they found nothing wrong and the report that came back with it said they didn't do anything to it
Nothing was done to it :/
in other news, got my component rack. Everything isnt quite together yet as im waiting for my UMC-200 pre to arrive and replace my Onkyo 806
UPA-1 has arrived back, haven't decided what speaker I want to guinea pig on it yet though. (thinking my cerwin vega's since they are fused)
Replacement crossover and tweeter arrived, the front 3...
no, sorry for the confusion. it Is still at emotiva and they say its working fine still. It has been there over a week already, at this point its like either replace something on it or just send it...
finished taking the crossover out of the other lsi15 and the center, hopefully going to get them shipped out tomorrow to get them upgraded :D
My UPA-1 is still "working fine" so no update there
It is great to hear so much good feedback about the upgrade, good chunk of change so its nice to hear its worth it.
Once i get them upgraded ill post back and let you know how i like the center. I...
Yeah i plan on keeping these a while, it will be a long time before i can afford the next tier up of speakers. I also just wanted to make sure it was a solid upgrade.
And it looks like I am going to upgrade the center as well. I listen to a lot of multi channel SACD's and movies so I want the front 3 to be balanced/matched.
And you guys really think the...
In other news It looks like I am going to take the plunge since I have the speaker apart anyways to upgrade both the woofer and crossovers.
what a project this is turning into haha
maybe I was quick enough in shutting the amp off before it caused permanent damage /shrug
is there any conceivable way that the resistor blowing could take out the tweeter with it? Emotiva still suggests the amp is fine
