I'm late to the party but consider this a +1 right here.
It certainly does open up all of the options!
I'm seeing PS3 for as low as $200 new at select Target stores (sold as a bundle with video games I'll end up giving to someone's kid), and stand-alone...
Picture paused right in the middle of The Hobbit - guess the PS3 didn't approve of the movie.
Everything else other than the drive appears to work fine, but while the drive accepts a disc (audio,...
dejavu- didnt I just read this thread in a different thread?
38 x 14. Pretty big room you are trying to fill with bass. Dont just buy one sub, buy two. Big ones. Sealed ones. With 1,000 watt D-class amps.
Best answer. :)
If you never had something, can you lose it?
Thats outrageous. $350? Your essentially buying that amp all over again. If you have to drop $350, buy another GFA-555 and put that amp in the closet until you find a reasonable repair center.
...
No - thats the rate from my local shop.
With all due respects, I thought this post was the end credits to this thread.
$75 bucks to fix. Flat rate at this factory authorized Adcom repair center. Keep it and fix it.
Pics or it never happened. ;)
Very Awesome!
Brings back old memories when I bought my four LSi15s and the LSiC at Tweeter. I had a Matrix hatchback.
Tweeter Dude doubted they would all fit. I put down all of the seats, and...

Didn't come out of a matching white van, did it? ;)
Huh?
My newer Panasonic Plasma buzzing becomes more pronounced as the image becomes lighter and lighter, buzzing the loudest when the screen is pure white.
Buzzing isn't loud enough to distract during...
You might need to find a new tech.
The local guy here in Vegas fixed an Adcom GFA 555 without issue (and is in fact the authorized Adcom repair spot).
The company had some trouble with my...
:) Made my day!
I own Adcom and Sunfire, but I've always wanted a Parasound. And dirty little secret - I've wanted to compare the Emotiva to any of the seemingly "respectable" brands to see if there is a...
I go an entirely different route: I'd split the signal from AVR/Pro to the amp with an RCA splitter (if using RCA instead of XLR). Alternatively, my Sunfire allows me to run an RCA into a channel and...
Rock a pair of LSi 7s or a pair of LSi 9s as an alternative. Its probably even a BETTER alternative to the LSiC.
Auditioning speakers is a big waste of time. As is comparing "specs" which are likely falsified anyhow.
The correct way to purchase a speaker is BASED SOLELY ON EVERYONE ELSE'S OPINIONS.
My GFA-555 does the same thing after powering down. I make sure that the music plays through before I disconnect the input from my PC. Last time I blew something in my Adcom when I touched the input...
