Try toeing them in more and see if they sound better to you or not.
Depending on where it is in the crossover, it may or may not make a significant difference. If it's in the parallel leg of a woofer crossover, before or after a cap, it will affect the woofer's roll...
What crossover is this?

Things must have changed, for the brief period I browsed that board, it was common for negative threads to disappear.
The difference being, when you drop dead at 55 due to clogged arteries, it'll be easier for the pallbearers to carry you.

I wouldn't recommend them for 2 channel, but I agree with Brock that they may be fine for HT.
If they're white van, they're junk.
The large speakers and center appear to be white van speakers, not Polk.
The sub is probably a PSW10 and I'm unsure of the bookshelf speakers model.
Your amp is only rated for 8ohm operation, IIRC.
I've heard maggies with Wyred 4 Sound amps and thought they were a good combo.
As far as the low end goes, a nice sub will help much more than any amp.
