Ah, the good old days of the Polk forum... Was fun looking through the names I haven't seen in a while...
I have the same problem with my SDA2's. I've had the PR's out, and what I found is that there's no quarter-round in the seam of the back panel like there is on the front. My plan is to add...
I still browse around occasionally (hence why I saw this thread), and I haven't lost interest in audio. But, life gets in the way a lot, and this isn't the only forum I've stopped browsing. I used to...
Not really... Still doesn't seem to be working as it should. I found some discussion on another forum that said to take the following steps to set up the remote:
1. Turn remote to max, turn gain...
I don't know that I tried full gain on the amp. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
Just got my PA880 hooked up today. It's driving 2 db1040 subs in a ported enclosure.
My problem relates to the remote. When I use it, all of the control takes place in the first 25% of the knob...
I've got a Traxxas Mini E-Revo VXL that's awesome... unfortunately it's tore down right now and I haven't found the time to rebuild it :(
Yep... if the A/C seems to be checking out, replace the breaker. They can get weak over time.
Running 24x7 is easier on a hard drive than constant starts and stops. The WD 40gb drives that were in the GX270's were pretty reliable, albeit very slow by today's standards. I have a box of them at...
So, I can no longer make it to the Friday festivities at HQ... but I may be interested in joining in on Saturday, if that'd be allowed.
As seen on today's Imgur feed.

Been busy this week... haven't had a chance to look into it. I intended to recap it a while back, but found that those big cans are expensive... and it needs 4 of them.
Hey all... long time, no post. Having a little concern about my GFA-545. During a recent listening session, I noticed that the left side of the amp was hotter than the right. Today, I set out to...
I put in for my vacation... still need to find accomodations if I'm going to stay for Saturday.
I picked up a Makita Drill/Impact set from Home Depot a little while ago - check to see if they still have them. $107 on sale w/2 Lion batteries and charger. Comes in a square silver suitecase thing....
Currently deceased? Is that going to change in the future?
The keyboard app is an awesome homage to Mr. Moog :)
Couldn't figure out how to get the PR ring in....
Here's what I did on my SDA2's. These are the spikes from Meniscus Audio - http://meniscusaudio.com/extra-points-p-1292.html
...
I don't suppose you took a picture of the bottom of the speakers as spiked, did you? I'm trying to figure out the best way to spike mine.
Only 320kbps? If it's that great, you should be looking for Lossless.
I'd be interested to see what the tweeters say on the back of them. These look like a very early run, back when "the boys" were building everything by hand.
H9- My original SDA 2's also have factory SL2000's. I think they're dated '86
$249 for an alignment? AND $250/tire? Holy crap!
Alignments around here are $60 at most. And unless you're getting some high-performance low-profile tires, $150ea is more like it.
Maybe he wanted to (legally) upgrade it to Windows 7. And, we'll say, tossed in some extra memory.

You're.
