2 of these for sale. One has a slight wrinkle in the lens but sounds the same as the other that looks normal. $50 for the pair
Yeah it's pretty chilly here right now and tons of snow. Thanks for the props!
I have a pretty much mint and unmolested pair of SDA SRS 2.3's (not TL) complete with the factory interconnect cable for sale. $550
Email me if interested and for photos.

I would email Polk with your question. They can probably tell you how it's designed and why.
Try a static mat under the computer
If it didn't work with the optical cord, I'd be looking at the receiver end of things.
Cables are great, but that's madness.
Are you talking about the 2 pin connector like a lot of printers, dvd players etc use? There is an adapter available that goes from that style to true IEC so you can have a wider range or cord choice.
That is in effect, just an adapter from one to the other, zero benefit.
Thanks for that writeup
That's awesome when once in a while a person stumbles over a great deal. Good for you.
Some of the Sherwood stuff was not bad.
Those would be interesting to audition.
Rotel RA-1312 integrated. Bought one brand new in the '70's for something like $600. A wonderful amplifier with a ton of power and superb sound.

For me it was the MBL's. Superb detail and soundstage. Blew away the JM Lab Grand Utopia, Wilson Grand Slam, and the Sonus Faber stuff as far as I was concerned.

Pick up a used Onkyo Integra DHC 9.9 and a 5 channel power amp like a Rotel or even Emotiva or something to get you going, which should fit close to the $2000 budget. That way you can always change...
It sure does, but ultimately what counts is how it sounds to you.
After you've run it in for a coupleof weeks, maybe post your opinion.

The benefit of (true) balanced over single ended is lower noise floor and more gain, however the camps that like single ended argue that balanced has inherent problems as there is added circuitry...
I would ask him to send photos of the front with the grill off and a photo of the rear. With that, if you post the photos, we could tell you which version they are.
Very true. These had the square woofers, and as you point out the 2 piece ribbons. The second version with the white round woofers also had 2 piece ribbons and even some of the later versions with...
If you want a good source to test the speakers with, take along Joe Satriani and play the song Sleepwalk. If there is anything wrong with the ribbons this will definitelymake them buzz and oscillate....
