how is this effecting the brightness, since the tweeter has its own enclosure (itself)?
Midrange, yes, for sure, but brightness?

about a yr ago, I bought that exact speakers on CL for $50 because they look so cool. but after taking them home, they sound really bad. very bright. almost hurting my ears just while testing them....
650 is too much. just wait. polk had them for 499 or 599 before. I bought a set for 499 almost a yr ago
snake oil
from all the research I've done. 703 is better than 9 in every way for intended (music) purpose. The only reason why I am not getting the 703s is because currently the price is still more than double...
same here. I recently needed a tweeter for my Rti12 and couldn't find the parts list anywhere.
for low vol, I don't think my 1Cs put out enough bass. for 60hz and below, I let my sub adds a little more bass, even I run my 1Cs full range
if you must stick with HK and for around 300, I think you can do better. Such as Signature 1.5 or Citation 5.1. I bought 2 citation 5.1 on Audiogon for 350 shipped. lost a bid on ebay for Sign 1.5...
True, but the question here is Watt, not current.
well, that thing rated at 500W and you give it 200. yep, I think so. well underpowered
anyone?
I am still looking for MW5805 and MW5807. Sorry, but 5806 isn't a direct replacement. different ohm value.
nope. SRT uses normal speaker cables. this cable looks like a standard parallel cable. reminds me of my old printer
it's that one is better than another, just different way to get bass out of your sub. With the Sub cable, your AVR sums the bass from L/R and sends to the sub. With the speaker level setup, your sub...
it depends on too many variables. my Deftech Supercube I sealed with a 10" sub and 2 PRs. they say the amp is like 1800 w. and it's dead under 30hz.
if you use this method, make sure set speakers to Full Range or Large on your AVR
PSB makes great speakers. I think PSB is a step above Polk.
now sell the lsi9s and get lsim 703s :) I am waiting for polk to have it for $800 on Ebay and I will jump. maybe the upcoming black friday?
$200 max with the cable included.
Bought a pair of RT/FX on CL last night and lucky for me, they use the same SL6500. So now I have enough backup tweeters for my SRT. But it's still impossible to find replacement for the woofer (2...
I bought all of my electronics w/o hearing or viewing them first. but research the heck out of them though.
I think you ran into those issues because you bought something with known liability issues (that you or the sellers didn't know) . old Adcom and parasound amps have issues, especially since they run...
thanks for the info. it's so hard to look for parts for SRT
so, why are we still buy Polk speakers? My pt is it's all about QC, regardless where it's made. Everywhere I read, Emotiva is the best bang for buck. Same with Polk. But here we're supporting Polk,...
does anyone know the model # of the tweeters in the RT25i? SL6501 ?
I found a set on CL and need to replace the tweeter in my SRT.
Thanks

no remote on that listing.
