the most important...
yes if DIY is the way people want to go them there is no point of asking POLK to do it, however a POLK kit for POLK speakers is a much better choice, i don't feel like messing around with my speakers...

yes indead the usual 1+1 =2 doesn't work in passive bi-amping, most people they advise that 1+1 =1! i am yet to see soemone explaining it in a scientific way.
Now the DSW Pro 600 is on sale at newegg:

yes most probably i'll try the side surrounds and the rear surrounds,
i am a lebanese living in Qatar.
today my XPA-5 reached Qatar , didn't try it yet (obviously i powered it on ), what do u recomend, biamp my RTI A9s,or only run 3 channels, or use it for my CSI A6, RTI A9s and my RTI A1(rear...
it's all about the sound patern distribution, u've noticed that most of the central channels have their tweeters in the middle? and that the tweeter is a little bit over the central axis of the...
i have the DSW PRO 600, and it's a great sub, u can hear and FEEL the bass, it shakes my 3 seaters in heavy bass scenes, i believe it might be going lower than 25 HZ.
my room is 5.5m X8.5m and my...
in a perfect world teh front sound stage should be matched, however for most of the people this is not doable, there is some studies on the wave pattern distribution of central channel speakers that...
it's better to consider FXi for the side surround in a 7.1, depending on ur positioning they might be even better as a rear surround than RTI A3.
the TSI choices are ok (except the CSI20 over CSi10), but try to get a DSW rather a PSW sub. i opted for a DSW pro 600 over 2 PSW 125, once u audition them u will easily notice the difference
+1, i live in qatar so i have limited sub options, i have 2 RTI A9s, CSI A6,2 FXI A4s, 2 RTI A1 and 1 DSW PRO 600 , the room is 5.5 m X 8.5 m the sub is excellent, a second one will sure help, but i...
since the central channel is a key channel, if u can accomodate the A6 do it, it's undeniably a better center.
the micro pro 4000 is a beast, a second DSW PRO 600 will make ur BASS sounds better without u bringing down the house.
btw still waiting ur feedback on that DSW PRO 600.
i am running 7.1 , the sides are FXi A4 (i matched the surrounds drivers with the RTI A9s), room is 18.5 X 28. TV is 52A650, plan is to get a 165" screen with a 3-D projectors by year end. my fronts...
