It says Load between 4 - 8 ohm? See below
Power output: 65 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)
Frequency response: 4Hz to 80kHz

I already have a big ht system so I was hoping to stay under $500.
There is this used store right by my place with some sweet old unit's. I just don't know what's good from back then.
Do you think the Cambridge Azur 640a will be enough to power a pair of LSI9 speakers for audio, or do you think they need more juice?
If not what would you recommend?
Thank you sir. Just want to know for sure after installing the new resistors.
So I finally got the resistors shipped and installed.
They sound 100% better than before. It was the resistors that were blown so I put in the Mills as F1 suggested.
Question for those with...
I'll take your advice and replace all of them.
I'll try to find those around town today. If not I'll have to order online and have them shipped up.
Now I'm starting to think since...
This is what the other crossover looked like
So I pulled the other speaker apart and the resister was not even attached on one terminal.
So all the numbers on the resistor is faded off. I think it says (ph)5w3roj or (ph)5w1roj. ...
So I pulled the crossover out and you were right. The 5w resistor looks burnt all around it. I took a couple pic's but I have no idea how to upload them onto this forum.
Any suggestions to a...
I'll try and pull the crossover out soon and post a pic.
Just a heads up he was using a 7.1 - 105w per channel receiver. He was playing jazz so I guess I missed them sounding subdued.
Even at high levels the sound way to muffled. It's not like they're...
You guy's are friggen hilarious. I thought this playful banter only happened on the Audizine forum.
Anyway's F1 do you think it's just a resister? How would I know if I pulled out the...
So I hooked up all three speakers, in numerous ways, and this is what we heard over here.
The LSI centre channel is definitely less bright than the RTI's but it sounds amazing.
Now the LSI9's. ...
Yes I had them hooked up with 200w from the emotiva amp with the metal strap in place, then I took the metal strap out and sent 200w to the top post and 200w to the bottom post. I did buy them used...
I have the RTIa9's and yes the upper posts do the 2 mids and tweeter. The lower post does the 3 woofers.
Funny enough I also have the lsi9's and the upper post do the 2 mids and the lower post...
I have the speakers on stands, I listened to the rti top and bottom and it was defiantly brighter and more detailed than the lsi. I just wanted to hear the difference between the top of...
Quick question for the polk guys. I have had rti8's, rti10's back in the day but am now using the RTIa9's. I have always thought they were great but still needed a little more, so...
So my XPA-5 showed up yesterday and I set it up. Here's what happened.
I have an Onkyo tx-nr3008 which is pushing out 145w x 9 channel. Yes I know that when more than 2 speakers are running it's...
Ok so with what I have what is the best way of setting up my system?
avr onkyo 3008
amp emotiva xpa-5
The rtia9's have 2 set's of terminals...
Did you get the XPA-5? I've got one on order and I have almost the same set up as you.
I have rtia9 with a csia6, fxi03 surrounds and a psw505.
I've got the Onkyo tx-nr3008 but I felt I could...
I didn't understand that either. The amp is 9 x 140. You can change all the setting in the on screen display to bi-amp the front speakers. I'm only using 5 speakers so i'm not using all the...
Thanks for the advice.
So if I was going to just get a 2 channel amp for the RTIa9's how many watts per channel should I be looking at?
They say the speakers need 50-500 so if i'm going from...
I recently bought an Onkyo TX-NR3008 which is pushing out 9.2 x 140watts
Up front I picked up a pair of Polk RTIa9's which are very power hungry, to go with my CSIa6 and FXI3's, and a psw505.
I got the last pair in the lower mainland (Vancouver)
I think the store in Coquitlam has a single left but that is it. Future shop is not going to be bringing them in anymore, the speakers are just...
