6000 usd a pair?
That was a screwed up suggestion.
Do you own a pair?
Have you heard a pair?
Did you even check the prices on those?
THAT cabinet design was given to me by one the Parts Express "Tech" guys after I told him what woofer I wanted to put in there. I even questioned him on that choice.
You know what..
This thread was started because I was hoping for some "constructive" hints and ideas on how I can build some speakers. After all, I am in the DIY subforum.
No its a freakin debate...
Where do you live? What is your stereo set up?
I live outside of Cleveland, and there isn't much in the way of REAL stereo dealers out here.
Everyone is so hyped up with the home theater sound. I...
I had a Parts Express tech guy give my cabinet plans with my choice of speakers in mind.
I can't find any new speakers out here that wasn't made for home theater sound.
So.. I am going to build my own.
This is what I was looking at to put into the speaker.
Dayton Audio ST210-8 8"...
All right.. Thanks for the input.
I have Pioneer SA-7500 amp which I want to hook up a cd player.
It doesn't have a cd input, it has an aux input I am using for an MP3 player.
I currently plugged the cd player into the tuner...
I saw that listing, meh..
AND that is the first listing I have seen for the MW8000.
I understand that, but with this oddball 7.5 inch hole, your options get even crappier.
BUT, most speakers have drivers that can be replaced with a new one. The 7.5 driver can NOT be replaced.
Something other than polk.
I really would like to hear a few model from Klipsch.
I drive a Dodge caravan.
I am thinking of installing an amp for more volume from the back only. I won't be putting in subs, just better full range speakers. My current stereo has a "reported"...
For any other poor schmucks that have Polk Audio S10, rt 400 and any other speaker that use that elusive 7.5 inch driver..Enjoy your speakers while they work.
That 7.5 driver is a rare find.
I am listening to my ears ring.
I have a love/hate relationship with my S10's. I have 2 pairs of them.
They sound ok, but if the mid goes out on it, you are screwed.
I am working feverishly try to get a 7.5 inch mid-range rebuilt...
Some tube socks?
The Beatles - Let It Be album
Aren't the 8500's just woofers?
The MW8000's are midrange?
I have been checking frequently.. no joy:cry:
That would be great. thanks..
But again, What specs should I be looking for in a...
Ok, I get it. The elusive 7.5" speaker mw-8000 can NOT be bought.
So, I will either get a 8" or a 6-6.5" speaker instead. I'll retrofit to make it work.
My question is this, What specs should I...
I have a Pioneer SA-7500
A Yamaha AX-596
and 2 pair of Polk Audio S10
Thanks, I will keep you in mind.
I did it. It works fine now.
But the other crossover has all the connections soldered where they need to be, I am not getting any lows out it at all. Think there is something blown?
Oh, I live...
I have a crossover needs to be either replaced or repaired.
Anybody know where I can get this done?
I have the schematic and a pic of what I need.
