What a surprise, hahah I actually didn't want to test the TSi100s since the 500s were gone but surprise when Fedex dropped these off, so I guess I'll give them a go for a few days, I'll post...

You will probably need the power to wake them up, but then you lose two channels. Maybe external amp?

You almost have the same setup as me, so do it and let me know if it's worth the upgrade...

Regarding the subs you just have to make sure their phase matches then you'll be fine. You'll need an SPL meter probably for that.

I would say the RTi8's are about in the range for the 607, the low end Onkyos tend to have weak amps in them, but again you don't have pre-outs so yer stuck.

If you want to spend a tad over $500 you can opt for a Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH, it has Wolfson DAC's for superior music reproduction and discrete amps. THX Class D Certification.
