Was only recommending the RP3 over the RP1 since the RP3 has the same arm as the RP6 aka the RB303 which is a better arm than the RB101 on the RP1. Depending on the cartridges used down the road...

As an owner of a Rega RP1 with the performance pack I'd recommend the RP3 over the RP1. Much better tonearm and a 24v motor make for a better sound and upgrade path.
