I've listened again and am more than happy with it. I've got the Mastersound, the 2track 35dp4 and other early Japan and U.S. versions , all Redbook, and they all have their moments of brilliance but...
You'll enjoy it, has all the slam of the Mastersound cd and benefits from not getting
fatiguing ,on the top end, when played at higher volumes. (No loss of detail though)

Agreed, this version definitely sounds like you are there in the studio at times.
The guitar attack and sustain on some notes is much more realistic compared to the earlier SACD, if Mofi can do this...
For mainly acoustic shoot for Heartbreaker followed by Gold.
Then look at his earlier stuff with Whiskeytown followed by some later work with the Cardinals on Cold Roses all steer towards Alt...
